The Secret Ingredient Is A Secret
I'm going to do things a little differently for this email. Rather than providing you with an incredible work of poetry, I'm going to share a secret family recipe. It's November, it's getting colder, and people love eating and drinking hot, viscous liquids this time of year so here's a special soup recipe from me to you.
Ingredients:
1 gallon of sandwich broth
1 beautiful onion
2 candles (to light and put on the table while you're eating to make things a little more special)
1 package of hot dogs
1 stick of unsalted butter
1 gross of eggs
6 peppercorns
3 tablespoons of cinnamon
1 big scoop of patience, love, kindness, and understanding
Directions:
Put all of the ingredients into a big witch's cauldron over medium heat. Bring it to a boil and then reduce it to a simmer and cover it with a wizard's enchanted shield. Simmer it slow and low, Kansas City BBQ style. Stir it periodically with a wand, scepter, or ceremonial staff. Once everything has been boiled into an easily slurpable slurry, dish it up into individual buckets and dig in. For a really special treat, use your SodaStream to transform the soup into a light, effervescent meal. After you've finished gobbling down this succulent slop, wipe your mouth and go to a concert. Bon appétit!
